First day of early voting nets record turnout
Accoring to Deer Park City Secretary Sandra Watkins, the first day of early voting (Monday, May 2) saw 178 voters come through the doors at city hall; a record number. Watkins said the average range is normally 120-130 voters on the first day of early voting.
Early voting will continue on the following days: May 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and from May 4-10 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Votes will be cast at Deer Park City Hall, located at 610 East San Augustine Street. Regular voting will be held May 14 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Deer Park Community Center located at 610 san Augustine according to the city's website.
